The holidays are here and I don’t know about you, but my Secret Santa list is getting longer and longer. Don’t get me wrong … I love Secret Santa gift exchanges. Like weirdly love them, but sometimes it’s hard to know what to buy without being boring.
Full disclosure, I’ve totally gotten in a lotion and candle rut! This year I really want to step up my game, so I decided it was time to think outside the box and share a list of some of my favorite, most unique Secret Santa gift ideas.
- Novelty Socks – Pizza? Cats? Starbucks? Whatever interests you’re looking for I can ALMOST guarantee there’s a sock for that. Seriously! Check out Amazon and Etsy for tons of option.
- Card or Dice Games – My personal favorites: Uno, Qwixx, Codenames, Apples to Apples, Farkle, & LCR
- Movie Pass – Everyone loves going to the movies, but a lot of times it’s an expense we just can’t justify… so maybe we don’t go as often as we’d like. A gift card to a movie is perfect for a low key date night.
- A Book – Some of my favorite books have been gifted to me by friends and family. I love being gifted personal favorites and trying out a new book I maybe wouldn’t normally choose for myself.
- Wine or Beer – A little cliche… but ALWAYS a crowd pleaser! Extra points if you find something obscure or local.
- Something Personalized – think ornaments, mugs, jewelry, cutting boards, wine glasses, cell phone cases… literally anything can be personalized these days. Etsy & holiday markets are the perfect places to find these.
- Adult Coloring Book – There are so many options when it comes to adult coloring books. Whether you’re looking for intricate floral designs, curse words, stained glass scenes, or even The Golden Girls there is something for everyone.
- An experience – So usually an experience is going to run you a little more, but check Groupon for deals! I’ve seen deals for paintball, escape rooms, massages, wine and canvas nights… again, so many options.
- Local Favorites – This is the perfect time of year to hit up your local farmers market and stock up on some local favorites. This is an especially great gift idea if the person your buying for lives out of town or is new to the area.
- Something homemade – I think a lot of us forget this option. Maybe you’re a really great baker or you love crocheting sweet things for the loved ones in your life. Everyone loves a homemade gift, so don’t forget to utilize this option if you have a special talent.
