Columbia Mom EATS :: Cafe Strudel

If you’ve never been to Cafe Strudel, you need to get there. Fast!

Cafe Strudel is one of my favorite Columbia hot spots! Their breakfast/brunch is out of this world (especially the hangover hash browns), and lunch is right behind it! Cafe Strudel makes the kind of food that makes you close your eyes, sit back, and sigh as if you’d gone to Heaven when you take that first bite. And the second. And third. And fourth.

I was having a craving for it a couple of weeks ago, so I stopped into their Lexington location for lunch. Just like their West Columbia location, their Lexington spot is cute and cozy, and oh, so welcoming.

At this visit, I ordered the Fried Green Tomatoes appetizer and the Duck Grilled Cheese sandwich. The Fried Green Tomatoes are served with horseradish pimento cheese, and bacon, and it is mouthwateringly delicious!

The Duck Grilled Cheese made me groan with contentment after each bite. Juicy house-cured duck, gouda and Havarti cheeses, green onion aioli, all served on Hawaiian pineapple bread. I mean, c’mon! How can it get any better than that?

Cafe Strudel also boasts delicious foods such as Duck nachos, Smoked wings, Seafood Mac & Cheese, a variety of sandwiches, breakfast burritos, breakfast quesadillas, and even a breakfast burger. Yum!

You’ll find Cafe Strudel at one of two locations in Columbia:

West Columbia: 300 State Street

Lexington: 309 S Lake Drive

Have you been to Cafe Strudel? What’s your favorite item on the menu?
