Columbia Mom EATS :: Drip

0

If you’ve followed my writing for any amount of time, you know that I’m a deeply committed coffee addict. But not just any coffee! I only drink the good stuff. And some of the best coffee in Columbia, in my opinion, is found at Drip

Drip has two Columbia locations with slightly different menus and distinctly different vibes. At Drip on Main, you’ll find a more business-forward crowd and may even overhear local politicians as they chat policy over a nice cuppa. Plus, their Main Street adjacent patio is super kid-friendly and is pure bliss when the weather is nice.

Drip’s original Five Points location is the ideal hippie/hipster/I’m-working-on-my-screen-play spot, full of creatives, musicians, and students cramming between classes. This location often features live music and community events like candlelit yoga classes (!!).

Both locations are consistently brewing up flawless pour-over, single-origin coffees, and whipping up truly outstanding espresso drinks.

My personal favorite beverage is the honey-habanero latte, which as its name suggests, is not for the faint of heart. If you prefer something a little less spicy, their house-made honey-vanilla syrup is always a treat added to your favorite drink.

Both locations are kid-friendly, and my four-year-old Finn is a particular fan of their handcrafted hot chocolate.

Drip is located on Saluda Ave. in 5 Points and on Columbia’s Main Street.

Have you been to Drip? What’s your favorite thing on the menu?
