Columbia Mom EATS :: The Reizod Vegan Experience

4

When I moved to Columbia, I thought I had to sacrifice some of my favorite vegan/vegetarian foods. Turns out, I don’t!

I am excited to highlight one of the many vegan/vegetarian restaurants in the local area, The Reizod Vegan Experience. Currently, they are operating out of a food truck at the end of the strip mall where their restaurant is located.

You may hear the phrase, “vegan restaurant” and be skeptical because some vegan restaurants basically seem to exist as a consolation to people following plant-based diets who don’t have many options at other restaurants. But that is not the case at The Reizod Vegan Experience! They are serving up some very creative and tasty food!

On my most recent visit, I had their Philly Cheesesteak, plantains that were fried to perfection and tender on the inside, and mouthwatering vegan mac and cheese. It was Delicious! The food perfectly captures the rich flavors of the South, and they just happen to be doing so without using animal products. Every made to order item is also soy and gluten free.

If you’re in the mood for a drink with your meal, The Reizod Vegan Experience offers several different options that adhere to their mission of serving plant-based and organic products. Their drink list consists of a variety of smoothies and fresh juices.

As of now the physical location has not reopened, so you should call-in advance to place an order. Otherwise, you order from your vehicle and wait in line. Sometimes the wait can be lengthy, but the food is worth the wait.

The Reizod Vegan Experience is located at 9300 Two Notch Road, Columbia, SC and is open daily except on Tuesdays. Call ahead to order (803) 862-0045.

You can visit their Facebook page for daily specials and digital coupons for additional savings.
