Columbia Mom EATS :: The Devine Cinnamon Roll Deli

0

When we first moved to Columbia, I remember someone telling me about this local place that served huge cinnamon rolls and always had a line out the door. I thought, it was crazy that people would wait that long for a cinnamon roll, but decided I’d try it at some point. It took me a while to get there, but once I discovered The Devine Cinnamon Roll Deli, I was hooked!

The Devine Cinnamon Roll Deli (or CRD for us regulars) is tucked away off of, you guessed it, Devine Street. It’s a hot spot for breakfast and lunch. The building is charming and has parking up front as well as ample parking on the side streets around it. Inside you will see featured art from local artists, and the atmosphere makes you feel right at home (hopefully you will be able to go in soon).

Breakfast items include huge homemade cinnamon rolls with your choice of toppings, grits, sandwiches, bagels, and other various pastries. Lunch options include paninis, soups, chili, and hot dogs. Each lunch item comes with a side of Devine chips (delicious and perfectly seasoned) and a mini cinnamon roll. Lunch and dessert are always a win!

I personally enjoy the strawberry cheesecake or bourbon caramel cinnamon roll for breakfast. You can taste the love put into that from scratch dough and frosting. I also enjoy the Afton sandwich with a cup of tomato basil soup for lunch.

As seen on the Food Network, you can also order a cinnamon roll cake. A large feeds 15-17 people and it is DEVINE!

They even offer catering that I’m sure would not disappoint anyone in the office.

You can find the CRD at 2617 Devine Street.

They are open Tuesday-Sunday from 7 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Currently, curbside pick-up is the only option. You can order online or show up and order at the tent out front. Either way, you won’t be disappointed.
