Columbia Parks & Playgrounds :: Sims Park

One great thing about Columbia is the number of awesome parks and playgrounds our children have access to. As a mom to a very active toddler, parks are a great daily energy outlet for us. One of our favorite parks, which happens to be within walking distance for us, is Sims Park.

What We Love About It

One of my favorite things about Sims Park is the safety factor. It’s in a great, quiet location that is fenced in. So your little one can run free, without having to worry about car traffic.  There are a variety of play structures to keep your little one busy, but also plenty of open space for them to run and play as well.

I also love the picnic shelter and the spray pool, especially on warm days. It would be a perfect spot for a children’s birthday party or a weekend family outing.

There are usually lots of kids there for your little one to have a chance to build their social skills. However, it’s never so packed that the equipment is unavailable, or with a long waiting line.

I find it to be a relaxing place for parents as well. Given the placement of the benches, the shade and the quiet location, I think it’s a park you’ll find yourself wanting to visit again and again with your children.

If you are in the area looking for a great place to play with your kids, I can’t recommend this playground enough! We hope you enjoy it as much as our family does.
