The mission of the Katie & Irwin Kahn Jewish Community Center is to enhance quality of life by providing comprehensive programs based on Jewish values, traditions, heritage and culture. The Center aims to promote unity through these social, recreational, athletic, educational and cultural programs. We also strive to meet individual and communal needs in a way that promotes Jewish values and in turn nurtures, strengthens, enriches and unites the Jewish community and our community as a whole.
Riverbanks Zoo and Garden is home to more than 2,000 magnificent and fascinating animals and one of the nation’s most beautiful and inspiring botanical gardens. The lush 170-acre site features dynamic natural habitat exhibits, scenic river views, spectacular valley overlooks and significant historic landmarks
Once a month on the First Wednesday, JoJo’s Jazz Jam, is a family friendly, free music event. A Community Outreach Program that began November 2018. No cover charge. Bring the entire family to enjoy an evening of Jazz. Introduce yourself and your children to a great evening of music and community. There are amazing, top quality musicians. Food and non-alcoholic beverages can be purchased from our caterer, The Food Academy, onsite for a small price. Plenty of parking. At 1830 Main Street, Downtown Columbia, on the corner of Main Street and Richland Street.
