Who :: This event is geared towards Columbia area moms who are currently expecting a baby, had a baby within the last year, foster moms of infants, or moms who are planning on growing their family soon.
What :: Bloom is an event that brings wisdom, encouragement, and support to new and expecting moms in the Columbia area! Join us for a morning of learning more about the local resources and “must have” mom products on the market, along with lots of fun and meeting others who are in the same stage of life as you. Moms will get to listen and ask questions of our expert panel, enjoy a catered Mother’s Day brunch, interact with local businesses and enter to win fun giveaways, have their photo taken by a professional photographer at our bump+baby station with an adorable backdrop, and so much more! It’s your one-stop-shop for all things mom!
Why :: Whether you’re expecting for the first or third time, have a newborn at home, are waiting for that phone call or paperwork to clear to bring that baby to their forever home, this event is for you. Every guest will leave with an adorable tote bag filled with fantastic swag, enjoy specialty food, meet and chat with other moms, enter some fabulous giveaways and receive introductions to local experts on topics pertaining to parenting.

**Please Note: Bloom is geared towards new and expecting moms. Children over one year will not be permitted and due to space constraints children under one year old must be worn in a carrier or held as there is no room for strollers at this event.

Dr. Daniel Powers, Pediatrician
Dr. Daniel Powers is originally from Memphis, TN, but has called Columbia, SC home since 2015. He graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Neuroscience from Vanderbilt University and then completed a Masters in Biomedical Science from Eastern Virginia Medical School. He earned his Medical Doctorate from the University of Tennessee and completed his Pediatric Residency at the University of South Carolina. He joined the SouthernMED Pediatrics team in 2018. Personally, he met the love of his life, Ashleigh, while on a blind date during medical school and they were married in Charleston in 2017. As a family they enjoy spending time together at home, church, or traveling to see family and friends.
