Pregnancy and postpartum can be both an exciting phase of motherhood and an intimidating one. We hope this guide helps answer some of the endless questions on the minds of new and expectant moms. Special thanks to the featured sponsors and businesses that helped us bring this resource to Columbia moms!
Cord Blood Registry®
Your baby’s umbilical cord is made up of tissue and contains blood. Both cord blood and cord tissue are rich sources of powerful stem cells. Cord blood stem cells are currently used in transplant medicine to regenerate healthy blood and immune systems. These cells are being researched for their ability to act like our body’s own personal repair kit and may be able to help our bodies heal in new ways. Cbr® is the world’s largest and most experienced newborn stem cell company. Since 1992, families have entrusted Cbr® to store more than 900,000 cord blood and cord tissue samples.

The Early Social Development & Intervention Lab
Want to learn more about your newborn’s development? The Early Social Development & Intervention Lab is dedicated to better understanding infant development and improving the future for kids with autism. Our research study follows babies through their first 2 years of life and monitors their social, motor, and language skills as they grow. Parents receive periodic feedback on their baby’s development and can earn up to $250 for participating. We are inviting pregnant moms, full-term infants, preterm infants, and infant siblings of children with autism to join our study. If you are currently pregnant or have an infant 6 months old or younger, you are eligible to enroll today!
