With a commitment of getting materials into the hands of children and families over the summer, Richland Library is launching a new resource, titled the Read Freely Collections, on Thursday, July 16.

A total of nearly 5,000 books are heading to the following library locations:
They include selections for children, teens and adults. There are different types and genres to choose from, such as picture books, graphic novels, chapter books and bilingual books.

The Read Freely Collections are available in weather-proof shelving units underneath the awnings of the three library locations. Customers can borrow materials at their convenience, and once they’re finished, they can return those materials in the book drops of any library location.

A reminder, limited services with minimal contact continue at the pick-up windows of four library locations (BallentineNortheastSandhillsSt. Andrews), and all 13 locations remain closed in the interest of public safety.
