Shop LOCAL Columbia Holiday Gift Guide

0

Whenever possible, I like to spend my gift-giving dollars locally. What could be better than choosing unique gifts for your friends and family that also support our neighbors in the community? Here are some outstanding local vendors to help you finish up your Christmas shopping when Amazon Prime just won’t do:

For EVERYONE on Your List:

Crafty Feast

My absolute favorite one-stop Christmas shopping extravaganza?? Crafty Feast! Coming up THIS Sunday, Dec. 9 from noon – 6 p.m. at the Columbia Metropolitan Convention Center, you can browse through goodies from 100 local and regional artisans while sipping a mimosa and listening to Christmas tunes. Can you think of a better way to spend a Sunday afternoon? ‘Cause I can’t.

The Columbia Museum of Art Gift Shop

One of Main Street’s best-kept shopping secrets, the gift shop at the CMA is jam-packed with unique and locally-made goodies for everyone on your list, including a whole section just for kids. (One of my personal faves? Baby Lit classic literature for littles! I’m working on building a complete set.)

Soda City Market

Where else in Columbia can you buy local art, handmade candles, infused bottles of honey, gorgeous jewelry, an outstanding cup of coffee, and your brunch all in one spot? Soda City Market (every Saturday from 9 a.m. – 1 p.m. on Main Street) is the perfect place to grab absolute heaps of fabulously local gifts.

For the Columbia-Lover in Us All:

Columbi-Yeah! t-shirts and koozies are perfect for any local who “has it all.” (Also, I want one.)

Can’t-Lose Local Gift Cards:

Did you really wait until the last minute, but still need a thoughtful, local gift? Try a gift card to somewhere unique and amazing:

Sid & Nancy for your vintage-loving sister.

DripCuriosity Coffee Bar, and Indah Coffee for your caffeine-obsessed BFF.

Sweet Cream Co. for literally anyone. Who doesn’t love hand-crafted ice cream??
