Over the weekend I stopped by Flava Filled Foods. It’s a ghost kitchen inside of IndulgeNPTs on North Main.
If you’re wondering what a ghost kitchen is, it’s food prep operations with no waiters, no dining room, and no parking lot. So, essentially, they don’t have a physical storefront. Instead, they use other restaurants’ physical spaces for operators to create food for off-premises consumption. And they are really popular on food delivery apps.
The atmosphere of Flava Filled Foods is very laid back. Due to COVID they are still not allowing people to dine in the restaurant, but the wait isn’t long.
On my first trip there I ordered a loaded baked potato with three meats, broccoli, and Gouda cheese. When I got home and tasted it, I had to talk myself into not going back to get another one. It was seasoned throughout the entire potato. You could taste the seasoning in every bite. The meat was also seasoned very well, and I really enjoyed it.
I enjoyed the food so much that I went back the next day to try their soul food wraps. When I tell you they were the best I’ve ever had, it definitely was! Just like the potato, the wrap was very well seasoned and tasted amazing. Inside the wrap were collard greens, macaroni, rice, and sauce. It was so delicious! I’ve never had anything like it before.
The owner of Flava Filled Foods was very friendly and greeted each customer as they came in. With every order, he gave a bottled water. I will definitely be visiting them again. And I encourage everyone to give them a try!
