Columbia Parks & Playgrounds :: Felton C. Benton Park

Benton Park. This playground is convenient to Cayce, West Columbia, and downtown Columbia. What We Love About It

This park is very popular with children in the area. There have been other kids for my child to play with almost every time we have gone. The surrounding area is very safe and quiet. The equipment is well-maintained, and my daughter enjoys playing in the toddler area and the older kid area.

The park is also home to one of the best free splash pads in the area. With several spray areas, there are several different options for kids the enjoy. Perfect for cooling off during those “famously hot” summer days.

During certain times of the year, the park is decorated for cute photo opportunities. Over the holiday season, there was a giant snowman inflatable my daughter and other kids loved!

Things to Be Aware Of

  • The picnic pavilions and splash pad make this a popular spot for parties. Sometimes the parties limit the seating and crowd the splash pad.
  • Because it is an outdoor park, the restrooms can be dirty at times.
  • The area around the merry-go-round can be muddy sometimes.

Overall, this is a great little playground. If you’re near the Springdale area, I highly recommend stopping by for play time. I hope your family likes it as much as mine!
